Position Announcement: Swine Veterinarian

February 5, 2014 — 

Associate full-time swine veterinarian required. This position is being created as a result of expansion of our current business. The successful applicant will be the chief veterinarian in our swine division.

Duties will include:

• Farm visits

• CQA inspections and filing

• Consultation

• Development and implementation of herd health protocols for clients and barns

This position will be based out of Manitoba but will also require travel throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. A team of nutrition experts will also be available to aid in the implementation of herd health programs.

Qualifications:

• DVM fully qualified to practice in Canada and eligible for licensing in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta

• Valid driver's license

Client relationships are the key element of this position, therefore applicants must possess excellent people and communication skills, be self-motivated and ambitious, a team player, and be knowledgeable in the swine market and industry.
