Position Announcement: Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Swine Medicine and Applied Virology

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at North Carolina State University invites applications for a tenure-track position (12-month appointment) in the field of Clinical Swine Medicine and Applied Virology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, depending on selected candidate’s research achievements and level of extramural funding.

The goals of this position are to expand CVM’s basic and applied virology research, and support producers, veterinarians and the NC Swine Industry in swine production by developing vaccines and offering diagnostic testing and diagnostic services. There will be a significant clinical commitment including a continued expansion of outreach and extension work with stakeholders in the NC Swine Industry. The clinical component will also include teaching DVM students and training House Officers and graduate students. The selected individual will be expected to form a partnership with the NC Department of Agriculture and the NC Swine Industry.
