Position Purpose & Responsibilities:
The Nutrition and Technical Service Manager will provide technical swine knowledge and skills in a team nutrition sales and support role with assigned swine accounts. This includes providing knowledge of swine production systems and swine health in a team-selling role with National Account Sales/Tech Team members on assigned producer accounts; taking the lead in selling Land O’Lakes Purina Feed swine nutrition products and services with specific identified assigned accounts; and working closely with National swine Tech Team members, allied suppliers, Top 50 tech nutritionists and veterinarians in developing and implementing "think tank" meetings and seminars.
Required Competencies/Behaviors:
Professional and technical knowledge, highly motivated, with the ability to influence change, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership, sales and organizational skills combined with the ability to work independently, and advanced computer skills.
Required Education/Experiences:
MS degree with 3-5 years experience however PhD or DVM with 3 plus years of Swine Nutrition and production management experience preferred. Must be willing to travel up to 35% and be willing to work long hours as required.
