As you all hopefully know by now, the American Association of Swine Veterinarians’ Foundation has set a Big Hairy Audacious Goal of raising $50,000 at the Foundation Auction during the 2008 AASV Annual Meeting in San Diego. The fundraiser will consist of both a silent and live auction.
AASV members and allied industries have been extremely generous so far. The Foundation has received numerous donations which are highlighted on the auction listing page of the Foundation website. But, we need more items and contributions if we’re going to be able to achieve this monumental feat.
If you are considering donating an item or making a financial contribution to support the auction, please complete a donation form which can be found on the Foundation website and return the form to the AASV office. We are extending the deadline until December 21, 2007 for all submissions for the 2008 auction. After this deadline, we will prepare an auction booklet listing all the items available and recognizing the very generous donors. This booklet will then be mailed to each AASV member so you can decide on which item(s) you wish to bid.
Remember, this is your foundation. Its ability to support programs that enhance the profession of swine veterinary medicine depends on continued support from the membership.
