On July 4, 2015, the Swine Health Information Center (SHIC) organized as a 501(c)3 with the mission to protect and enhance the health of the United States swine herd through coordinated global disease monitoring and targeted research investments that minimize the impact of future disease threats and analysis of swine health data. SHIC reviewed 2015 accomplishments recently at a SHIC board of directors meeting and for the National Pork Board’s board of directors, both in January. A document outlining the details of 2015 accomplishments can be found under News at http://www.swinehealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/SHIC-2015-report.pdf.
