Merck Animal Health offers a field-based Swine Technical Services position to be located in Iowa or Minnesota. Candidate must have a veterinary medicine degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in veterinary medicine focusing on modern swine production. The position encompasses numerous duties including but not limited to:
- Technical representation of products and services offered by the company. This representation will be to both internal and external customers and will include sales force training as well as guidance on implementation for external customers.
- Planning and performance of licensed product post-approval trials.
- Collaborating with marketing on key business initiatives.
- Advising customers on product questions and adverse events.
This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and is comfortable in an independent work environment. This candidate must be competent in their public presentation skills and computer competency skills. There is an expectation of 50-60% travel to designated internal and external meetings, field investigations and assigned swine business projects.
