$5000 Contribution in Honor of Dr. Dale Hendrickson
Donated by: Four Star Veterinary Service, LLC

This item isn't up for bid, but Four Star Veterinary Service has chosen to honor their colleague Dr. Dale Hendrickson with a substantial cash contribution to the AASV Foundation auction (made in addition to their Bourbon Tour donation below). Given Dr. Hendrickson's enthusiastic participation and generous support of the foundation auction over the years, it seems a very fitting contribution and worthy of additional recognition.

Dr. Hendrickson, a Charter Member of AASP/V, isn't able to attend the annual meeting this year, but up until 2019, he has been a faithful attendee at each conference. He has always taken great pride in donating something "a little different and special" to the foundation auctions. His contributions have included donations from his vast collection of pig neckties, dozens of ceramic pig figurines from around the world, an Australian gold coin commemorating the Chinese Year of the Boar, and an intricately carved moose antler, to name just a few.

The AASV Foundation joins Four Star Veterinary Service in honoring and thanking Dr. Dale Hendrickson for his service to and support of the swine veterinary profession!

Harker Family Farms & Orchard Gift Certificate (x2)
Donated by: Dr. Jeff Harker and Family

PEACHES, PEACHES, PEACHES! While you are in the mood for peaches here in Georgia, consider buying a Harker Orchard gift certificate at the AASV Foundation Auction. It has been said the best peach is purchased closest to the tree; we have over 70 varieties that ripen from early July to late August so you'll have plenty of chances to get the freshest peaches around! This gift certificate can be used to purchase any item sold at Harker Family Farms near Waldron, Indiana during the 2020 season (June-Oct). Possibilities include peaches and apples (over 70 varieties of each), nectarines, sweet & tart cherries, plums, and most vegetables (sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans) when they are in season, all grown and picked at peak ripeness on-site. Also fresh apple cider from Jul-Nov. If you cannot make it to the farm, individual delivery arrangements can be made to most locations in the Midwest. Jeff's recommendation for the $50 amount: quarter peck each of white and yellow peaches, half peck apples, half gallon apple cider, 1 dozen sweet corn and a few pounds of tomatoes and green beans (all available simultaneously in early August!).

Market value: $50 per gift certificate
