Help Inspire the Next America’s Pig Farmer of the Year - Call for Nominations
January 2, 2019 —
You can help inspire exceptional pig farmers/clients who represent the best in pig farming by nominating them today for the 2019 America's Pig Farmer of the YearSM Award at americaspigfarmer.com.
Now in its fifth year, the America's Pig Farmer of the Year program recognizes a U.S. pork producer who excels at raising pigs by living out the We CareSM ethical principles, which demonstrate the pork industry's commitment to sustainability for people, pigs and the planet.
This producer must also be able to confidently share his or her story of pig farming with the American public. (The National Pork Board staff helps with this task.)
In the past few years, a majority of the final candidates for the award were nominated by their fellow pig farmers and industry partners. Your influence and trust in these individuals give them the extra confidence they need to apply.
As dedicated swine veterinarians, you know how important it is to show how pig farmers, in partnership with their veterinarians, are doing what's right for animal health and welfare, food safety and the environment. Thank you for helping us find the next America's Pig Farmer of the Year.
