Farm Crisis Operations Planning Tool Now Available
April 2, 2020 — AASV Staff
In collaboration with the National Pork Board, National Pork Producers Council, and Swine Health Information Center, the AASV has released a new tool to assist farmers and veterinarians with developing site- or operation-specific crisis operating plans. Whether its COVID-19, the threat of African swine fever, or other market disruption, planning for reduced or suspended access to resources and supplies can help contribute to a farm's business continuity during and after the state of emergency. The tool highlights key resources and supplies that may be affected during various states of emergency and provides factors to consider when developing a crisis operations plan. The tool is available on the AASV COVID-19 webpage.
