AASV Annual Meeting Podcasts and Videos Available Online

Video of the four presentations given during the opening general session of the 2007 AASV Annual Meeting in Orlando are now available online. In addition, for the first time podcasts of interviews conducted by student members are also available for download from the AASV website. The podcasts and videos can be accessed by AASV members only.

The video presentations include the Howard Dunne Memorial Lecture (Tom Burkgren), the inaugural Alex Hogg Memorial Lecture (Steve Henry) and the two general session presentations given by Beth Lautner and John Harding. They can be viewed in their entirety on the Video page of the AASV website. Likewise, presentations from the 2005 and 2006 Annual meetings are also available on the Video page as well.

For the first time the AASV Communications Committee teamed up with a number of AASV student members to record interviews with speakers during the Annual meeting. The students selected the speakers they would like to interview, developed the interview questions and conducted the interviews which were then converted to MP3 files. Four of the 17 interviews have been uploaded onto the Podcast page of the AASV website. Members can listen to the interviews on their computer or download them onto portable MP3 players or iPods to listen to later.

If you missed a presentation or would like to review something a speaker said or are interested in a little more in-depth information please take a minute to watch the videos and download the interviews. We'd be very interested to receive your comments on these resources. The remainder of the interview podcasts will be uploaded in the near future.
