Prevalence of serogroups and genotypes for fimbriae and enterotoxins in Escherichia coli isolated from diarrheic piglets in western China

The prevalence of O serogroups and virulence factors of Escherichia coli strains isolated from diarrheic pigs in western China were examined. Three uncommon O serogroups of E coli strains were discovered, and a high prevalence of enterotoxigenic isolates that produce only K99 or STa was detected.
