The AASV Foundation Auction Committee is setting its sights high in the mile-high city of Denver, Colorado, aiming for a record fundraising auction in 2012! Last spring, the Foundation re-appointed Dr. Warren Wilson as chair of the auction committee with the (tongue-in-cheek) stipulation that he continue as chairman until an auction brings in $100,000. So the goal for 2012 is to raise $99,999! Visit the Foundation web site to view the items up for bid or to donate an item.

The application allows users to search for detailed descriptions of all FDA-approved animal drugs.
Topical products for wound treatment -- There are currently no products approved by FDA for the topical treatment of wounds specifically in swine. However, two OTC products (Trypzyme Aerosol and Granulex Aerosol Spray) are labeled for use in animals and, according to FDA, can be used by producers for wound treatment without veterinary prescription. This spreadsheet provides a list of those two products as well as the other FDA-approved topical products that could be used in an extra-label manner under AMDUCA.
